Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Hello Solorio Families,

With our Kindergarten classes going to full-day, the volume of students being dropped off and picked up will increase. Here at Solorio, we want to provide a positive family experience and ensure safety for all. Therefore, we want to remind families of past procedures and NEW changes for student drop-off and pick-up for the 2023-2024 school year.

Reminder of Procedures:

  • All grades will enter the main parking lot through the top northern lane (facing Walnut St). The yellow curb indicates drop-off and pick-up only.

  • The center lane is a passing lane. Please take note of the red curb, no parking or exiting your car at any time. Also, to ensure the safety of students, avoid dropping off or picking up students from this lane.

  • The lane closest to Walnut St. is for staff parking only—please, no parking or dropping off or picking up students at any time.

  • Special Day Classes for Grades 1-5 will drop off your students in the bus lane. No other classes will enter the bus lane.

NEW EXIT AREAS (During Pick-Up ONLY):

  • Kindergarten and 1st-grade students will exit through the front gate between the Kindergarten playground and office (facing Walnut St.).

  • 2nd and 3rd-grade students will exit through the front gate between F and G Buildings (facing Walnut St.).

  • 4th and 5th-grade students will exit from the MPR gate (the gate facing Hemlock Ave.).

  • Special Day Classes 1-5 will exit from the gates in front of the bus lane.

  • 4th and 5th-grade students with younger siblings will be instructed to exit through the MPR gate and meet their younger siblings in front of the school.

If you want to walk your student on campus, you MUST park on the street. Please, no parking in any lanes.

We appreciate your support in ensuring the safety of our Solorio Tigers throughout these changes in our drop-off and pick-up procedures.

We are looking forward to a fantastic 2023-2024 school year!
